Gallatin Refugee Connections (GRC), a Bozeman-based refugee support group, will host a Kit Drive in partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and Soft Landing Missoula in Bozeman on Saturday, April 1.

GRICis a small volunteer organization founded in 2017. The Welcome Kit drive is designed to provide refugees with items that will help them transition into their new lives. While most families resettled to Montana will end up in Missoula, community members in Bozeman and the surrounding area offer tremendous support by donating supplies to this drive. People are encouraged to drop off donations at the Pilgrim Congregational Church from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on April 1. Prior to that date, people can drop off essential items at the designated collection points, such as Wild Joe’s Coffee Spot, Epic Fitness and Steep Mountain Tea House. Kits will be assembled by volunteers and driven in a massive U-Haul to Missoula. They are then released to the IRC and Soft Landing Missoula to be distributed to the refugees and their families.
