On average, 5,000 immigrants are detained in Arizona on a daily basis, many of whom are fleeing desperate situations to seek asylum in the United States, and those under threat of deportation have limited access to legal aid. The Florence Immigrant & Refugee Rights Project formed to fill this need. At no charge. They are the state’s only free assistance available, offering legal and social services to both immigrants and refugees, and Missoula is getting together to support them.
Come join us in a night of music featuring The Montana Women’s Chorus of Missoula, Pura Vida Community Chorus, and others. The evening will open with music from Missoula’s own Congolese Choir! Proceeds will go to this crucial group and the people needing their counsel. “When we work together, freedom cannot be detained.” -FIRRP
