Welcoming our new neighbors

Thanks to our local refugee resettlement office, the International Rescue Committee (IRC), Missoula has become the proud home to refugees of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Iraq, Eritrea, Ethiopia, and Syria.

We are extremely excited to welcome these families to Missoula and with the help of the International Rescue Committee (IRC) as well as our wonderful volunteers, we look forward to implementing programs that will ease their transition.

Please explore the resources below to learn about our new neighbors and to learn ways you can help in easing their transition.

I urge you to celebrate the extraordinary courage and contributions of refugees past and present.
— Kofi Annan, Secretary-General of the United Nations January 1997 to December 2006

Everyone has a right to dream. We all do. Refugees are no different. Truth is, for many refugees, dreams have just become...dreams. Dreams that were taken away from them. Today, on Human Rights Day, let's commit to building a world where everyone, refugees included, can have a chance at achieving their dreams. Watch & share.
