Missoula Lights for Liberty: Humanitarian Vigil + Action

  • St. Paul Lutheran Church 202 Brooks Street Missoula, MT, 59801 United States (map)

Through a partnership with Montanans for Immigrant Justice and Missoula Rises, we are teaming up to host a Lights for Liberty vigil on July 12th at St. Paul Lutheran Church at 7:30p. Hundreds of cities around the US, Canada, and Mexico will be rallying to demand change. To demand the end to family separation (Yes! It is still happening despite last year's rollback of the policy), to demand the end to child detention camps and call for humane treatment of migrants- including those seeking asylum. Although this is a national call to action, we will be putting our own Missoula spin on it. Missoula Rises is working tirelessly to contact, invite and press our elected officials for statements and follow-up ACTION. Montanans for Immigrant Justice is putting a list together of great organizations to support in their important work at the border as well as Know Your Rights information and trainings. Please join us at this vigil next Friday and add a strong voice from Missoula to hold our leaders accountable to this humanitarian crisis.
