Volunteer Coordinator

Job Description
20 hours a week, $15 an hour; Short term position for June 5-September 1, 2017
At the end of the contract period, employee may be considered for permanent employment. This position is flexible, but hours need to be spread across the work week and may require occasional night and weekend hours. No benefits.

The Volunteer Coordinator will

  • Communicate with 600+ volunteers via email, phone and social media

  • Oversee and organize 200+ active volunteers

  • Maintain volunteer/supporter database (Salesforce)

  • Maintain volunteer opportunities via the website and Facebook

  • Organize and plan volunteer appreciation activities and events

  • Manage and oversee the Home Set Up Team

  • Track and manage volunteer duties and hours for grant writing and reporting purposes

  • Communicate with Family Mentor Teams and the refugee families

  • Help refugee families access community opportunities

  • Participate in fundraising activities

  • Help with general duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will have

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred

  • 2 years work experience in a non-profit organization

  • Experience as a volunteer

  • Working knowledge of the Missoula community and resources

  • Ability to interact positively with a variety of people

  • Passion for refugee resettlement in Missoula
